The Birds is an excellent Alfred Hitchcock movie (but what Hitchcock movie do I not like?). This movie was written by Daphne du Maurier (whom also wrote Rebecca, another excellent film and book). It stars Tippi Hedren (Melanie Griffiths’ mom). She is a rich socialite who goes to Bodega Bay to chase after a handsome lawyer named Mitch (a girl has to do what a girl has to do, right?). While in Bodega Bay the birds start acting nutty and attacking the people. The movie is typical Hitchcock, which means it is awesome. It is a little ridiculous and dramatic at time, but it makes me look at birds differently. All in all it is engaging and suspenseful, a must see for any old movie fan. However when it ended I had questions, now I want to read the book. I need answers!
